6 Travel Must-Haves For Every Woman

Vacation season is here and I’m super excited to travel to some new places and just relax. But just as much as I’m looking forward to laying out on the beach, I need to make sure I have everything I need to be comfortable. Packing for a trip can be challenging when you don’t have a set itinerary or if you’re unsure of what the weather is going to be like. So, I’ve curated a short list of travel must-haves that every woman should have to make sure her trip is stress-free.

1. Comfy Sandals

I don’t know about you but comfort is everything for me. And on vacation, shoes can make or break your outfit. So having a pair of comfy sandals that pair well with every outfit is a must. I like to pack neutral-colored sandals to keep my looks fresh. I also always go for a sandal with a soft, padded sole. Most of the time, I’ll be doing a ton of walking in them and want to make sure I have the necessary support.

2. Comfy Heels

Just like a comfy sandal; heels are a MUST. They will instantly elevate your look to another level in seconds. Neutral-colored heels are great, but metallics just take it up a notch. They’re still very versatile but make a slight statement. I’ll typically go for a platform heel because they give me the height that I want without the pain.

3. A Travel Tote

A travel tote is necessary. If you’re anything like me, you carry a lot of stuff. So, you want to have a tote that is the perfect size. You can choose a tote with a handle or a long strap to wear like a crossbody. I made sure that my tote was large enough to fit my laptop, camera, sunglasses, wallet, water bottle, headphones, notebook, passport, charger, and whatever else I can think of. Since my travel tote will be with me wherever I go, it has to be stylish, right? I will typically go for a bright color or light color for the spring/summer. And something a little darker or muted for the fall/winter.

4. A Cover-Up

My bathing suits are typically the first thing I throw in my suitcase, but sometimes I will forget a coverup. But they’re just as important. Cover-ups are perfect to wear before you go for a swim after you get out of the water, and while you’re walking around the resort or beach. And they come in a variety of styles. You pull on a pair of pants, wrap a skirt around your waist or slip on a dress to cover up your bathing suit.

5. Versatile Dress

Dresses are perfect for vacation. They’re easy to wear and depending on the style, can be dressed up or down. You can go for a flowy style dress or something a bit more fitted. Of course, you can stick with your neutrals to keep it simple but who doesn’t like to play around with fun pops of color for the summer?

6. Sunglasses

I do everything in my sunglasses when I’m on vacation! I’m known to bring a different pair of shades to match each of my outfits. Sunglasses are the perfect accessory for all your summer looks. Make sure you pack them in a case for safekeeping. And I would highly suggest carrying them in your travel tote to prevent them from getting damaged.

Each of these pieces is perfect for your next summer vacation and will help you to pack with ease. Be sure to check out my ModeSens closet for more shopping tips and style tricks.
