Denim Takeover

Spring and summer are on the horizon; with that, new trends are emerging, and classic styles are returning. One staple that continues to expand its reach is DENIM. Here are some denim trends that have been making their way into many of our wardrobes.

Handbags

Many brands are adding edge to some of their popular handbag silhouettes by releasing them in denim fabric. The Cassette Shoulder Bag by Bottega Veneta is one great example of this. It gives the familiar style a fresh look that can be made either casual or elevated. JW Anderson of Loewe fame has also released a great denim bag under his eponymous label that is *chef’s kiss*.

Pleated Mini Skirts

The mini skirt trend has been all over the runway and street style for the past few seasons, and I am a fan. In denim, the mini gives the ultimate early 2000s realness and nostalgia that we all love. Balmain has several versions of this skirt that are absolutely phenomenal for spring and summer looks.

Jeans With A Twist

You can never go wrong with a great pair of jeans. Over the past few years, there have been so many innovative takes on jeans. The Maison Margiela has become an it-girl staple. The area has also released an embellished cutout high-rise pair that are indeed iconic and the moment.

Footwear

The denim shoes are spectacular from pumps to mules, booties, and boots. Can we talk about how chic the Givenchy Shark Lock Denim Knee-High Boots are? The Attico Sienna boot is quite fashion-forward, and the embellishments on the Jimmy Choo Bing 65 Denim Pump are the perfect amount of razzle dazzle to make any casual outfit pop.

Whether it’s to keep it cool and casual or to get dressed up and fancy, denim is here to stay and continues to take over all categories of fashion. For the full collection of these items, check out my “Denim Takeover” ModeSens list here.
