Halloween Outfit Idea - How to Look Chic

Who said your Halloween outfit has to be cheap, tacky, and poorly made by a costume store? Well, not me! Thankfully ModeSens is a place where you can browse a variety of clothing options to ensure you will always have a glamorous, put-together outfit!

When deciding your costume, you want it to be very recognizable to save the awkward explanation when people don’t know who you’ve come dressed as.  It’s always a good option to choose a character from a well-known TV show, movie, or book, e.g., Blair Waldorf, Harry Potter, etc. Celebrity icons are another good option! It’s always a good idea to choose a character that has a recognizable style rather than a specific outfit/costume, that way you can be a bit more lenient with what you choose to wear.

A great example of this is the character Hannah Montana. She is recognizable for her cowgirl boots, gold sequins, and layering with her outfits. I would start by layering a white tight-fitting T-shirt. This will be the base layer of our outfit. A great option for this is the SPRWMN baby tee shirt. Next, I would layer a gold sequin chain-mail dress over the top. This is the main part of the outfit, it is instantly recognizable even though it isn’t the exact pieces worn in the show. The best dress option would be from Paco Rabanne paillette-chainmail mini dress.

There's only one option for shoes and that is cowgirl boots! They capture the country music star vibe of the character. The character wears many variations of these boots; white, gold, diamanté, metallic, etc. For this particular outfit, I have chosen white boots that are inspired by cowgirl boots.  The white from these boots tie in with the baby tee. The perfect pair is from the brand Givenchy - shark lock cowboy ankle boots. Accessories are a must! Statement earrings are the go-to choice. Big 60s loop earrings fit right in with this outfit. They bring the glamour to an extreme and due to this a necklace isn’t required. My ideal choice of earrings is the SOKO Makali dangle earrings.

The final item needed to complete this Halloween look is a bag. Anything gold and sparkly will represent the character. My favorite is the glitter plexiglass clutch bag by Tom Ford. This is the outfit complete! You will be the main character of any Halloween party or event you go to! All eyes will be on you and your outfit.
