Q&A with Katherine
How did you get into fashion?
MK: I started out as a fashion photographer, but on set, people often mistook me for a model, which made me curious about that world. I’ve since appeared in countless music videos, commercials, and short films. I was even featured in an editorial spread for Elle magazine.
When did you first realize you love fashion?
MK: I used to see fashion as purely practical. But after experiencing the Paris Haute Couture shows, my entire perception changed. Those exquisite creations were more than just clothes—they were enchanting masterpieces that could transform anyone into a living, breathing work of art. It was a really magical experience.
Who are your favorite designers and why?
MK: I like Blumarine's Nicola Brognano, LaQuan Smith, Mugler's Casey Cadwallader, and Balmain's Olivier Rousteing. Their glamorous, rebellious, and captivating designs exude both power and sex appeal while maintaining a classy and modern aesthetic.
What is your favorite thing about working in fashion?
MK: Fashion constantly reinvents itself. I love how it blends elements of the past with the future. There is just something mesmerizing about it.
Do you have a go-to look for the day and night?
MK: My everyday look skews elevated tech-wear, with leather, and chunky boots. My evening looks tend to be inspired by Y2K glamor.
