ModeSens Metrics: Top 5 Brands This Week
Consistency was the name of the game this week as our top-selling brands and products featuring familiar names continued to resonate with the ModeSens Community.
There are no newcomers to this week’s top-selling brands list (a first since beginning our collection of data stories). All five brands consistently rank within our top five week over week, with most barely falling out of the top 10.
Here are the best-selling brands and products on ModeSens this week, featuring Zimmermann, Jacquemus, Versace, and a mix of popular summer essentials like sneakers, dresses, and trousers.
Zimmermann
Zimmermann is this week’s top-selling brand on ModeSens for the third time in five weeks. According to our data, Zimmermann purchases equated to roughly 3% of sales on the entire platform last week, outselling other brands in the handbag and accessories categories.
Summer essentials continue to reign supreme with the Zimmermann shopper, as floral dresses, paisley-print blouses, skirts, and silk loungewear maintain their popularity.
Versace
The summer season is the best time to update your swimsuit rotation, with Google Trends conveying a huge spike in search traffic for the latest trends in swimwear. It may be surprising to some that Versace swimwear is a dominant force on ModeSens. Versace bikinis and one-pieces are some of the platform’s bestsellers and continue to help propel the brand to our weekly top-selling list.
Balmain
For the second consecutive week, Balmain returns to our top-selling list. Balmain has built a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail over generations.
ModeSens users spent big this week on Balmain blazers, dresses, monogram button-down shirts, and handbags. In classic Balmain fashion, these pieces featured strong shoulders, opulent embellishments, and intricate patterns– all classic Balmain tropes. If you’re looking for an elevated piece this summer, look no further than Balmain.
Jacquemus
Knit dresses, asymmetrical-cut skirts, robes, and bucket hats—Jacquemus’ summer collection emphasizes flowy tailoring, ripe for the season. A slew of new summer products from the brand on ModeSens is continuing to push sales. Popular Jacquemus products include the recent La Jupe Maille Concha Striped Knitted Midi Skirt and the La Chemise Bahia Tie-detail Shirt, two pieces that would make for great essentials in any summer wardrobe.
This week marks the fourth consecutive appearance Jacquemus has made in this series, making it one of the most consistent bestsellers on ModeSens.
Totême
For a second straight week, Totême had made an appearance on our weekly list, once again shining a light on the importance of building a uniform wardrobe—trends aside. Totême’s rise over the last two weeks could be attributed to a great catalog of summer offerings that stick to a neutral color scheme, perfectly interchangeable with pieces already in your rotation.
Popular products this week included the Halterneck Maxi Silk dress, Quilted Recycled Shell Jacket, and the Monogram leather trainers—the best-selling sneakers on this week’s list.
Best Selling Menswear — The Row Dominates Across All Genders
For the first time in our series, one brand has made an appearance on both lists. Last week, New York-based fashion house The Row made its debut in our top womenswear brands of the week. This week, The Row topped our men's list.
The Row’s menswear line follows a similar design ethos, emphasizing quiet luxury through simple tones and minimalism. Popular menswear products from The Row included the Hemd Sisco button-up shirt, Fisherman Suede sandals, and the Carlisle Beige trousers. Building a summer uniform couldn’t be easier with The Row, and the brand’s growing influence within the menswear ecosystem shouldn’t be understated.
Featuring alongside The Row, our top-selling brands of the week included some familiar names: Amiri, Gucci, Fear of God, and Casablanca. These four remain a consistent presence in our weekly rankings alongside designers such as Rick Owens and Tom Ford, which barely ranked outside of the top five.
