Top Notch Cleansers

Nothing feels better than taking your makeup off after a long day and getting that clean skin feeling. With so many products out there, it may get overwhelming to decide what to use to take the day off, but I’m here to guide you on some of the best cleansers out there.

CLEANSING BALMS & OILS

Over the years, the double cleansing method has become more and more popular. Doing a pre-cleanse with an oil or balm is especially great when trying to remove all traces of makeup including waterproof mascara. It helps to break down the layers to get it all off. Clinique has one of the best cleansings balms out and with a name like “Take The Day Off”, it does exactly that. SKII also has a great cleansing oil along with Shiseido, Bobbi Brown, and Dermalogica. And the great thing is that you can also use these on your bare face!

MICELLAR WATER

Now if you’re looking for a refresher without a complete cleansing regimen, micellar water is the perfect choice. There is a wide variety of options including hydrating options and those that do a great job of cleansing without stripping. La Mer has a great option with marine nutrients. Clarins make micellar water that helps preserve the skin’s microbiome. And if you’re looking to add some extra luxury, Chanel has anti-pollution micellar water on their roster.

GEL & FOAM CLEANSERS

For my oily skin girlies, using a gel or foam cleanser is the best way to cleanse without stripping and helping to promote balanced skin. Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Foam cleanser specifically for dark skin tones. La Roche-Posay has both foam and gel cleansers available.

CREAM CLEANSERS

If you have dry skin, a cream cleanser is your best friend. SK-II’s Facial Treatment Cleanser is great for skin conditioning. Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Cleanser Cleanses and moisturizes while keeping the skin clean. Kate Somerville’s Delikate Soothing Cleanser is a gentle option as well.
