Inge Onsea and Esfan Eghtessadi fell in love, married and had two lovely kids. Both had a close affinity to fashion, albeit from different backgrounds. Inge was a model for many years. Esfan, the son of a designer, grew up surrounded by textiles, sketches and collections. As a young man, he started his own career as a fashion agent. Their joint adventure in fashion started off with an idea that was as simple as it was essential. The collection was launched from the young couple's apartment with four styles of T-shirts which were available in 20 different colors. The T-shirts sold like hot cakes. Essentiel was born.

Inge now leads the design team with a huge amount of positive energy, injecting fashion and style. She travels the world for inspiration, but remains deeply rooted in Antwerp.

Esfan combines his passionate involvement with the product with innate business intuition. Following on from the companies domestic success, Esfan is now focused on the international expansion of the brand.
