Ports 1961 was established in 1961 by Canadian entrepreneur Luke Tanake as an importer of fine Japanese silks. After a successful expansion into women’s ready-to-wear, the label launched its menswear line in the mid-1970’s. Spearheaded by former Jil Sander creative Milan Vukmirovic, Ports 1961’s contemporary aesthetic combines the brand’s expertise in premium textiles and craftsmanship with modern tailoring and streetwear sensibilities.
