Born in Brunei and raised in the Netherlands, Sander Lak debuted his new label Sies Marjan – named after a combination of his parents’ names – at New York fashion week in 2016. Lak draws upon his expert knowledge of texture and fabric to create a modern ready-to-wear collection; think shirts and coats in blossom prints, fine silks and luxe jacquards.
