Originally released in 1972 for the Summer Olympics in Munich, adidas is once again treating us to a retro classic, as the SL72 makes its long-awaited return from the archives. Drafted with an authentically retro nylon base, the upper is layered with lush mocha suede around the vamp, toe, and heel, while premium leather lands atop the ankle collar. Flat laces track the embossed tongue to a golden adidas logo while underfoot, we find a chunky dual-tone foam midsole layered above a herringbone rubber outsole.
