Hand brocade woven pillows in a rainbow palette will be a cheerful addition to any space. These pillows depict an assortment of traditional textile patterns from Cotzal, Guatemala. They were woven by a collective of women artisans, using back-strap looms, a time honored method of weaving that dates back over two thousand years. Archive New York is a line of handwoven, artisan made home decor products, founded in 2014 in Brooklyn, NY. The founder, Amira Marion, grew up in a home filled with Guatemalan textiles gathered by her parents in the 1970s. Her own designs emphasize a deep connection with Central American artisans, a commitment to Fair Trade practices, and the honoring of Maya culture, heritage and technique.
