This comfortable 100% wool felt slipper pulls on and comes up 1-2 over your ankle with a slit at the front for style and ease of entry. Betterfelt slippers are made of one piece of hand felted wool with an additional layer of wool between the slipper and the sole, which is attached for additional padding, durability and to provide grip on the floor. This model has a natural crepe rubber sole and is made of 100% New Zealand wool. Betterfelt slippers can comfortably be worn year around without your feet getting too warm due to wool’s ability to absorb moisture, breathe, and regulate temperature. As well, the lanolin in wool repels dirt and odour. Each pair of slippers provides half a day’s work for an artisan and you can find their signature on the right slipper around the heel end. Betterfelt slippers are low maintenance. Wool felt is dense and due to the lanolin will repel dirt and water. Air them out often and on occasion you can give the inside a vacuum. If you do drop something on them, try to absorb it right away before it sinks in and sponge clean the area gently with some cool water and a little wool soap (or mild shampoo). Do not use too much soap as you should avoid getting them soaked and it may be hard to get the soap out. Press on them with a towel to remove any excess water in the felt and then put them on to shape them and lay them to dry away from heat on a dry towel. Do not machine wash, use warm water or place them near a heat source to dry.
