The Molten Studs were created from two symmetrical genuine flameball pearls (to make a pair & frame the face) that were first hand-cast, then hollowed out for lightweight wearability, hand-polished to a mirror finish, and then plated in 14k gold or rhodium. These studs have had quite the journey to their final spectacular destination - your pretty ears. All BIKO pieces are plated in 14k gold or rhodium, over brass. They do not tarnish or cause discolouration on the skin. All earring posts are surgical stainless steel, and hypoallergenic. For increased longevity, keep jewelry clean and dry using a soft cloth. Avoid wearing your jewelry in the shower or during exercise, and wear after applying perfume or hairspray. Protect your piece from rain and humidity.
