Amethyst pink Murano glass Newson glass vase from Cappellini featuring polished finish, transparent design, echoes the form of Orgone lounge chair and mouth-blown design.

Designed by Marc Newson in the 90s, the original incarnation of the 'Newson Vase' was produced by Cappellini in ceramic. This updated version of the sculptural vessel takes the same silhouette — inspired by the sinuous form of the 'Orgone' lounge chair, also by Newson — and applies it to a paste-coloured transparent Murano glass body. The result is a spectacular and instantly recognisable piece, where the curved shape of the design is accentuated by a modernised palette, whilst maintaining Newson's vision.
