product description
Brand: ClassiCon Model: Bar Stool No. 2 Design: Eileen Gray, 1928 Eileen Gray was not only a creator of classical seating, such as sofas and chairs, but also a pioneer of unconventional designs, including her series of bar stools. The Bar Stool No. 2, originally designed for the iconic E 1027 house, also featured in her Paris apartment on Rue Bonaparte. In her Provencal country home, Tempe à Pailla in Castellar, Gray used this bar stool as a nonconformist seat at her drawing desk-an excellent demonstration of her functional and versatile design approach. This unconventional stool combines lightness, sculptural presence, and practical utility. Its clean lines and elegant proportions make it suitable for both work and leisure environments, while the thoughtfully engineered frame ensures stability and comfort. Construction & Materials: Frame & Floor Base: Sectional steel and steel, lacquered black RAL 9005 Support Bars: Two stainless steel bars Upholstery: Polyurethane with polyester fiber Cover: Black leather Gliders: Changeable, felt or plastic Dimensions: W 30 × D 39 × H 74 cm W 11.8 × D 15.4 × H 29.1 in The Bar Stool No. 2 perfectly exemplifies Eileen Gray's innovative approach to seating, blending comfort, adaptability, and modernist aesthetics in a piece that remains strikingly relevant today.
