Inspired by the liveliness of their home, they source makers from across the country - namely from Usiacurí, the town on the Caribbean coast - who are adept at weaving by hand. The techniques used have been passed down through many generations, and begin by shaping a wireframe over which they weave intricate patterns, forms and motifs with iraca palm.
