This 9 carat gold pocket watch by Garrard is a highly collectible timepiece hand-sourced by the accessories experts at Designer Vintage.A 1983 fine polished, 9 carat gold open-face pocket watch by Garrard, Royal Warrant Holders to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. With 17 jewels, which reduces friction and wear, lengthening the life of a watch, it features an oyster dial incorporating a circular seconds-dial at 6 o'clock, self sword hands and light-gilt Roman numerals. This watch is set in a cushioned circular case with gently convex crystal, original gadrooned crown and angular brushed bow. It is a daily wind watch, which has been serviced and is in good working order. This item carries the Garrard authenticity script, as well as the gold, Assay office and date letter hallmarks. A highly collectible piece, it'll become a much-admired heirloom to be passed from generation to generation. Please note: to wind the watch, rotate the crown in a clockwise direction until you feel a tightening of the tension (which indicates an approach to a fully wound state).
