Born in Brooklyn, New York, Chast studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and quickly gained recognition for her offbeat, deeply personal cartoons that explore themes like anxiety, aging, family life, and everyday absurdities. She is the author of several books, including the National Book Award finalist, Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?, a graphic memoir about caring for her aging parents. About Transgender Law Center Transgender Law is the largest national, trans-led organization working to set all people free. We champion the right to all transgender and gender-nonconforming people to make their own choices and live freely, safely, and authentically.
