Roz Chast is a cartoonist and author whose work has appeared in The New Yorker since 1978. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Chast studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and quickly gained recognition for her offbeat, deeply personal cartoons that explore themes like anxiety, aging, family life, and everyday absurdities. She is the author of several books, including the National Book Award finalist, Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant?, a graphic memoir about caring for her aging parents.
