Stockwell London Art Print, featuring the Stockwell Bus Garage. A stunning example of post-war modernist architecture, this understated building was one of my recent discoveries in South London. The roof structure is supported by ten “two-hinged” arched ribs which make up the distinctive shape of the structure. The cantilevered barrel vaults have skylights running the full width of the garage which together with windows in the side walls and wide entrances bathes the interior with natural light.
