The inspiration for the collection comes from the story of how Freyja is out looking for her husband Odr, who was often away on long journeys. She missed him & when the longing became extra strong she went looking for him. Tears came rolling down her cheeks, and when they fell to the ground they turned to Gold. People who walked through the forest & found the gold knew that Freya had been there. It is with inspiration from this epic story that we designed the jewellery collection "Tears of Freya", which symbolizes strong love & care. The earrings & necklace are handmade here in Sweden, in 100% recycled Sterling Silver 935, plated with 24 carat Gold. GENTLE CLEANING Please make sure to regularly clean your jewelry to remove oil, dust or contamination. Use simple, non-abrasive materials and specialist products. Be careful not to scrub or to over-handle your jewelry. Silver-dip type cleaners should only be used to clean silver jewelry, which must be rinsed and dried thoroughly afterwards. Gold and plated jewelry can be cleaned using specialist jewelry cleaners, as appropriate. Black rhodium should only be cleaned by using very fair fluid, and be extra careful not using metal on the black rhodium
