They are very classy earrings set in recycled .925 sterling silver with a full micron of recycled 18k gold vermeil, and a water resistant e-coating of laquer, so the gold should last very well. The post is hypoallergenic. As with all gemstone jewellery, care should be taken not to drop or knock the earrings as a stone may be damaged or fall out. To clean wipe gently with a damp cloth. All gold vermeil will eventually wear off, however as the only part of the earring that comes in contact with the skin is behind the stud, this should not show for a very long time.
