The first burn - during the first burn, allow your candle to create a full melt pool, which means the wax has melted completely to the edges of the container this usually takes about 2-4 hours, depending on the candle size. Clean the wax - before each subsequent use, ensure there is no debris, matches, or wick trimmings in the wax pool. Remove any such materials before relighting the candle.
