JKAY-WY2. 590-9130-C25. About the designer: At the age of 19, when most students are buried under books, Jenni Kayne was already aiming high and gearing up to launch her eponymous label. After studying fashion design at Otis College of Art and Design, Kayne headed to Italy where she apprenticed with Zegna designer Ettore Veronese and with manufacturing conglomerate Giuseppe Marzotto. It was here Kayne obtained the hands-on skills she would need to help launch her line, and after returning to the States she quickly began working on her first collection. In 2003, Kayne sucessfully debuted her line during Los Angeles Fashion Week. Recognized for their sophistication and wearability, Kayne's pieces regularly twist traditional fashion rules while remaining timeless in concept.
