The block features easy-access knife slots and a removable, two-stage ceramic sharpener in the base. Simply push the side of the unit to release the sharpener when required. The sharpener features two ceramic wheels that sharpen and hone the blades, helping to keep them in optimum condition (not suitable for ceramic or serrated blades).
