Despite the digital production of its surface decoration, the small 'Ikat' plate features a key characteristic of ikat textiles — a fuzziness to the design, here a blue, yellow and white pattern, which can be brought back to the extreme difficulty weavers have when lining up the dyed yarns to create pattern on traditional ikat textiles.
