The 'VL45 Radiohus' pendant light was conceived in the 1940s by Vilhelm Lauritzen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen for Danish Broadcasting House, Radiohuset. The new generation design of this graphic heritage piece features the same brass suspension and three-layer, mouthblown glass shade, with graceful softened corners. Layering of transparent glass over white ensures the effusion of a smooth, even glow. Downward-directed light is then emitted from the opening in the bottom of the shade. Supplied with a US plug. The bulb is not included.
