Louis Vuitton Alma PM Medium size Vintage. The Alma bag is an icon in the brand, timeless and even an investment for luxury collectors. The handbag is made out of canvas and the popular and widely known Louis Vuitton’s vachetta leather. The peculiarity of this leather comes from its treatment, as this is not painted or protected leather it turns darker with the usage and environmental factors such as sunlight, water, humidity… Due to this fact you can find minor tinted areas on the base of the bag as well as the handles; one visible but thin scratch as this is not a protected kind of leather and a little mark on the vachetta on one of the pieces under the handle (see on the photos). The hardware needs to be polished but it’s not in a bad condition at all. The interior is not stained or scratched, stays perfectly new. The borders around the base have no noticeable damage, you can tell by the touch that they are a little scratched by the use and for leaving it on the floor but this is not visible. This is a properly preserved piece. Recommendations: Condition/moisturize the vachetta leather once per month and clean only when necessary. If it gets water marks, clean them as soon as possible with some water on a cotton ball and let dry for one day. You can prevent the handles of getting darker by wrapping them with a scarf or other kind of fabric.
