In fact, the Alma was the second handbag that the luxury house produced, after the well-known Louis Vuitton Speedy. The bag was created in 1934 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton, the son of Georges Ferréol Vuitton and also known as the collector. Rumour says that the design of the Alma bag was originally made for Coco Chanel in 1925. However, Coco apparently gave the permission to produce the bag for the public later on The bag has Vachetta Leather round “Toron” handles and trims and gold-colored hardware. The handbag closes with a zipper that extends to the leather at the bottom of the bag. The inside is made of cotton Canvas and contains one small slip-in pocket, in which the date code is hidden. This timeless house icon is ideal for everyday use, worn by the hand or wrist. The overall condition of this bag is good because of the gold-colored hardware and the canvas. However, you can see that the bag has been worn by the Vachetta leather, there are some small scratches and a couple dark spots.
