The last decade has seen something of a cardigan revival with preppy geek chic and indie rock boy stylings bringing back this iconic item of casual knitwear. Our bomber cardigans are designed with a dash of sports casual luxe attitude – this piece of classic Ivy league casualwear is back with a vengeance. Choose from black or navy extra-fine merino – a timeless casualwear option worn with a t-shirt underneath. Obsidian Black Bomber Jacket, adding a touch of originality and style to the classic look. Sober yet Striking ... Created from the most prized extra-fine merino wool and silk these knits are the ultimate statement in debonair and luxe attire. Attention to detail is paramount and even the provenance of the yarn (Australia and New Zealand) is incredibly important to us. These knits are like the very finest cashmere in terms of their feel and drape and because the merino wool is lightweight rather than dense or chunky, knitted in a textured finish it boasts incredible thermal qualities - making the bomber also suitable for 3 season wear. How to care for your extrafine merino/silk Bomber Merino and silk are natural fibres, and need to be treated with care. The bomber has a texture finish. We recommend specialist dry clean. Hand wash will also work - but do carefully to make the garment have a longer lifespan (hopefully forever) Hand wash cold with a mild detergent Do not machine wash Do not soak - just gentle squeeze in soapy water & rinse. Squeeze excess water out (Wrap in a towel and gently squeeze) Re-shape whilst damp Dry flat Cool iron on the reverse (bizarrely works! See below) Do not tumble dry Or specialist dry cleaning Ironing Occasionally it may be good to iron your Extrafine Merino to keep the fibres in good condition. Bizarrely low heat ironing makes the Extrafine Merino super soft by helping the fibres smooth down and go back to the soft state they were when you first bought it! Iron lightly when the jumper is still damp, with a finishing cloth in between and hold the iron on a low setting possible & ideally without steam so you do not ruin the fibres. If dry ironing, use a slightly damp cloth in between to avoid glazing. Obviously, avoid the rib stripe.
