The Men's New Balance 550 Sneakers in Turtledove/Angora updates a classic basketball silhouette introduced in 1989 and dresses it in creamy shades that blend together to create a monochromatic sneaker that glides along with subtle style. The Turtledove / Angora colorway of the New Balance 550 features an upper of turtledove-colored mesh overlaid with soft Angora-colored leather, sporting microperforations on the side panel and across the vamp. Other leather overlays cover the toe cap, heel counter, and collar. Angora-colored laces cross over a turtledove mesh tongue adorned with an Angora-colored tongue patch. The two-toned matching rubber cupsole has a foam wedge on the medial side and sits atop a matching two-toned rubber outsole with a traction pattern comprising circles, ridges, and misshapen blocks. What we love most about this sneaker are the tonal hits of New Balance branding subtly placed across the sneaker. The classic side-panel N is cut out, the words "New Balance" appear embossed on the midsole and outsole, a flying NB appears on the midsole, heel counter, and insole, and a 550 is stamped on the vamp.
