The 2021 reissue of the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 GS ‘Varsity Royal’ brings back Ken Griffey Jr.’s signature shoe in big kids sizing. The retro color scheme is inspired by the Seattle Mariners and features a vibrant blue nubuck upper with contrasting white synthetic leather paneling. Volt-colored accents make their way to Nike Swoosh branding on the heel and adjustable ankle strap, the latter further accented with the Kid’s jersey number with the Mariners. Additional pops of Volt appear on the midsole, enhanced with Max Air units under the heel and forefoot.
