The vision of designers Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl for Danish brand NORR11, the 'Samourai' chair is a modern take on a type of low-slung hunting chair prominent in the mid-20th century. The outcome is a seat that is additionally inspired by Japanese joint making, and also brings in elements of 1950s Danish stick chairs for a unique chair experience that is both comfortable and an exploration of tectonic geometry. This version of the chair combines cognac-hued saddle leather with a natural oak frame, brass rivets, adjustable leather straps and brass buckles. NORR11 follows a sustainable path choosing water-based lacquer for all its range of wooden furniture pieces.
