Brand new 1/18 scale car model of Audi 200 Quattro #4 Walter Rohrl - Christian Geistdorfer "Rallye Automobile Monte Carlo" (1987) Limited Edition to 3000 pieces Worldwide model car by Otto Mobile. Brand new box. Real rubber tires. True-to-scale detail. Detailed interior, exterior. Officially licensed product. Manufacturer's original unopened packaging. Dimensions approximately L-9, W-3.75, H-2.75 inches. This item is made of resin and does not have any openings. In 1987, Group B cars could no longer compete in rallies. In a rush, Audi replaces its legendary S1 Quattro by a 200. The large saloon won out over the Quattro Coupé. It was a surprising choice, revealed shortly before the start of the Monte Carlo season. The imposing saloon has no wide kit or imposing spoiler. Group A is the opposite of Group B, and the Audi 200 is surely the best example of this. Officially announced as having 'only' 238 bhp, it doesn't seem suited for rally. At Monte Carlo, Walter Röhrl nevertheless proved that he was in the game, finishing third behind the Lancia Delta. The little Italians were to dominate the 87 season, but Audi still came second in the championship with its improbable Audi 200 quattro!
