It is a fresh take on a classic design from 1931 discovered in the archives of the UK's leading silk printer. The name 'City Squares' was inspired by the pattern and in turn by the numerous delightful squares to be found across London. Printed in Macclesfield, the home of English silk printing, the artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed & reverse sides of the silk pocket square to work perfectly with any fold. The pocket square is finished by hand-rolling and hand-sewing the edges to create the distinctive 'shoestring' hem. It is a full-size pocket square (42 x 42cm). 'City Squares' comes tissue-wrapped in a complimentary Otway & Orford gift box. High-quality 100% Mulberry silk is woven into 16oz silk twill to give the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as to ensure that the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-sewn hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape. Made in England.
