‘Into the Storm’ is a unique silk pocket square inspired by glamorous ocean liners of the 1920s and 1930s. It has been created using a painting by maritime artist Alexey Vasilievich Hanzen (1876-1937). The original artwork was painted in oil on canvas during the 1930s and captures the liner 'Orford' as it leaves Dubrovnik for the stormy waters of the Adriatic. Printed in Macclesfield England, the artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square to work perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the pocket square’s off-white border and gold hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. It is a full-size pocket square (42 x 42cm). 'Into the Storm' comes tissue-wrapped in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box. AAA quality 100% Mulberry silk is woven into 16oz silk twill to give the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as to ensure that the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-sewn hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape. Made in England.
