'Battle of Britain’ is a unique silk pocket square created using the famous painting 'Battle of Britain' by artist Paul Nash in collaboration the Imperial War Museums (IWM). Nash’s original oil on canvas work used for the pocket square design was one of four large works on the theme of aerial conflict commissioned from him by the War Artists’ Advisory Committee. Printed in Macclesfield England, the artwork is reproduced with a good balance of colour between the printed and reverse sides of the silk pocket square to work perfectly with any pocket square fold. The image is framed by the lilac blue border and cloud white hand-rolled & hand-sewn hem. It is a full-size pocket square (42 x 42cm). 'Battle of Britain' comes tissue-wrapped in a complimentary Otway & Orford branded gift box. High-quality 100% Mulberry silk is woven into 16oz silk twill to give the characteristic sheen and cool touch as well as to ensure that the pocket square sits nicely in the top pocket. Silk should always be dry cleaned. Avoid pressing the hand-sewn hem to preserve its distinctive 'shoestring' shape. Made in England.
