Vintage Cast Glass Vide Poche with Rope Handle Attributed to Audoux Minet; Circa 1960s. Constructed from cast glass; the base is reminiscent of pieces designedly Le Corbusier. The glass incorporates grooved detailing on both the top and underside; creating an optical bubble effect. A double rope handle extends above the base; splaying on each side; perfectly designed to nest within the edge of the dish. Bound detailing along the handle adds interest and structure. A rare find. Unsigned. Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet; were the French-Swiss husband-and-wife duo known for creating playful decorative objects during the mid-20th century. Their focus on rustic style integrated use of organic materials like hemp cord; beech and bamboo.
