Much of photographer Brian Merriam’s work revolves around the solace we find in the bare natural world. After the abrupt death of his father Merriam travelled across the globe capturing these surreal and otherworldly landscapes, many remote and difficult to get to. These vignettes into those experiences helped Merriam express the inner emotions and process his grief. The name “Resurrection Blvd. 3” comes from a street Merriam found himself on in Alaska during these travels, and the symbolism was not lost on the artist.
