Driven by the desire to liberate women through freedom of movement, his designs featured sensual, free-flowing lines that flattered the natural curves of the female body. Emilio Pucci heralded the concept of designer ready-to-wear, resulting in a cascading effect throughout the fashion industry. In April 2000, an alliance was formed between the Pucci family and LVMH, and in March 2015 the Italian designer Massimo Giorgetti was appointed Creative Director.
