At once evoking both the past and present, Visser & Meijwaard's 'Fg' collection for German brand Pulpo manages to appear futuristic and ancient at the same time. This duality lies in the way each vase in the collection has been infused with the Dutch designer's own heritage, with the traditional 18th century cabinet set used as a starting point for the series. The result is items like the ceramic 'Vase Fg2', a bold white open vase defined by a compelling raised geometric surface design, which seems familiar yet mystical at the same time.
