Shirley Villavicencio Pizango's expressionistic paintings enliven a series of vases for Serax. Colorful vessels in imaginative forms traverse fine art and ceramics. In 'Santiago de Borja', folk-style paintings reflect aspects of life and nature in the Amazonian village where the Belgian-Peruvian artist spent much of her childhood. The handpainted pieces bring the tropical atmosphere of her work to life. The 'Mamey' vase features a portrait of a woman on one side, and a kitchen scene on the other, featuring tiles and bottles in naturalistic colors. The design is decorated with flowers and foliage in pink and green.
