They're handmade in the founder's favourite terracotta clay and fired to mid-temperature - note how she's intentionally left a portion unglazed at the base to highlight the material's beautifully rich colour. If you look closely, you'll see the waves of speckles around the edges, a result of the iron finding its way through the grey tin glaze.
