about TADASHI SHOJI

Tadashi Shoji is the founder and chief designer of the Tadashi Shoji collection. Born and raised in Sendai, Japan, he began painting and drawing at young age. His talent led to him assisting Japan’s leading contemporary artist, Jiro Takamatsu for three years. On his creative quest, Tadashi moved to the United States in 1973 where he discovered fashion design and went on to work with famed costume designer Bill Whitten.
