An updated edition expanded to include new labels, Taschen's 'Fashion Designers A–Z. Updated 2020 Edition' defines fashion design of the 20th and 21st centuries. Joining previously featured names such as Azzedine Alaïa, Coco Chanel, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent are 15 new additions — amongst them Phoebe Philo, Patrick Kelly and Sonia Rykiel — whose work is celebrated and showcased amongst the 500 garments that are featured and taken from the permanent collection of The Museum at FIT in New York City. The result is a comprehensive compilation of international fashion that is supplemented with texts by the Museum’s director and chief curator Valerie Steele, and international style authority Suzy Menkes, and portraits by Robert Nippoldt.
