Standing just under six-and-a-half feet tall when its legs are fully extended; Model No. 036 is the largest Horst tripod lamp we've made to date. Its body consists of an oversized; upcycled vintage brass German camera tripod from the 1940s; which we have converted into a 60-watt floor lamp; with a khaki-brown fabric-covered cord; vintage-style plug; and brass fittings. But the star of the show is its shade: In a former life; it was an extra-large antique Japaneses rice-paper parasol (circa 1960); in the perfect shade of red; with fine bamboo ribbing and a contrasting band at the bottom. Fully restored and converted into a shade; the addition of a vintage zebra hide zukami swatch and brown leather atama himo fastener at the crown brings the whole thing together.
