In a first for the fragrance industry, turmeric is incorporated as a key ingredient in 'Root', the new fragrance from British designer Tom Dixon. Upcycled from the food and pharma industries, in which turmeric is valued for its curcumin, the roots are processed to create an oil with sweet, spicy and warm notes while the leaf oil offers a peppery and citrusy aspect. Joining the brand's 'Eclectic London', 'Royalty', 'Underground' and 'Alchemy' scents, the fragrance is channeled into this large candle, which has a burning time of 60 hours. The addition of ginger as an accompanying key ingredient gives the candle a dry and sharp fragrance, for a wholly unique sensory experience.
