Trudon Tuileries Candle in Green Trudon dove back into history and launched Tuileries for its 380th anniversary. The Tuileries collection finds its inspiration in a rare document kept at the French National Archives: the Gazette des Atours de la Reine. In what appeared to be an ordinary notebook, countess Genevieve d'Ossun - a French courtier who served as lady-in-waiting and first maid of honor to Marie Antoinette - gathered fabric samples used to tailor the sovereigns' many dresses and royal outfits. Alongside these remnants, it was also discovered that the Queen's favorite flower throughout her life was the rose.. Top notes: Pink Berry, Blackcurrant, Mandarin. Heart notes: White Flowers, Raspberry, Geranium, Rose. Base notes: Musk, Patchouli, Sandalwood, Vanilla. 270g. CIRF-WH21. TUI/24/TRU. About the designer: The Paris-based Maison de Cire Trudon is of the oldest and most prestigious wax producing factories in the world. Founded in 1643 by Claude Trudon, a small grocer and candlemaker, the label would eventually rise to become the official candle supplier to the royal court of Louis XIV at Versailles. With Innovative production techniques and handcrafted scents, the esteem of the Cire Trudon name has lived on through the centuries and into the modern world. Cire Trudon candles garner worldwide recognition for the caliber of their wax and fragrance and in 2017, the label expanded its offerings to include a collection of genderless perfumes rooted in the Maison’s heritage.
