The mesh inner lining made from recycled materials wasdeveloped to acquire a better resistance to friction. Theorganic-sourced and recycled insole consists of sugar cane, Amazonrubber, organic cotton and recycled EVA. It is set on a light greyrubber sole made from organic and recycled materials. This leatherundergoes an innovative tanning process where no chrome, heavy metalsor dangerous acids are involved. By simplifying the tanning process,the use of chemicals and energy is limited, the use of water isreduced by about 40% and the use of salt by 80%. After tanning, thewater is recyclable.
