At Coro Cora we support Colombian artisans by blending their wonderful craftsmanship with contemporary design. We work directly with weaving cooperatives around Colombia to create fun, unique tabletop, accessories and homeware that celebrate the vibrancy of our country. We strongly believe in sustainable and slow consumption and we aim to create a lasting social change in the communities we collaborate with. We work mainly with women artisans and our goal is to empower them and ensure they receive a sustainable income for them and their families. These stunning and unique placemats are made by artisans from Usiacurí, a vibrant town on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Using a traditional technique that has been passed down through generations, the process begins by shaping a wireframe, over which they weave intricate patterns with Iraca palm. The result is an exceptionally detailed work of art that will elevate any table setting.All of our items are 100% handmade from natural fibers.
